My interests as a painter has veered off into tangents and paths that I follow in an intuitive manner. However there are constants which continue to surface and become more intense as I revisit the ones that command my attention.
Perhaps one of the most consistent tangents has been working directly from nature to evoke a sense of place or at the very least an abstract memory of place.
I have been fortunate to travel extensively and find myself in landscapes that speak to me and influence my desire to pour emotion into a visual statement with paint. The power of wilderness and the sense of isolation in natural environments is a companion I welcome.
